It's Time to Get Back in Shape

September 30, 2026

After my appendectomy, I have taken it easy with my workouts. You could say that my doctor's recommendation to stay out of the gym for at least a month gave me a bit of a taste for doing nothing. But starting October 1, 2026, I will be focusing less on lounging around and more on farmer's walks and chicken salads. My first priority will be to cut back on calories. Quite substantially.

The goal is to be in the best physical shape of my life by New Year's Eve. Or, well, I mean visually, relative to my age. Becoming as agile and quick as I was when I was a young martial artist is about as likely as snow falling on Koh Samui on Christmas Eve.

Getting 15 Kilos Lighter

The ambition is to work out for at least an hour every day and lose five kilos a month through the end of the year. I'm someone who loves food, so it will undoubtedly require some sacrifices, without being particularly unreasonable or even excessive. Mostly, I just have to put up with being hungrier than usual.

I will report the results at the end of each month, with complete transparency.
